Bentley will offer a plug-in hybrid version of 90% of the cars on its range as early as 2018, the company's CEO has confirmed. Speaking at the debut of the Mulsanne Hybrid Concept at the Beijing motor show, Dr Wolfgang Schreiber announced that a plug-in hybrid option was ‘the right choice for the future of Bentley’. He also confirmed that the first production-spec Bentley with a part-electric powertrain will be the marque's controversial new SUV.

Last month we got the specs and prices for the UK Honda CR-Z Hybrid, Honda’s modern hybrid take on the CR-X – they want us to believe. So having given us the buy price – it starts at £17k – and the specification – the basic gets Climate , CD player, heated door mirrors, rear dimming mirror, electric windows, daytime running lights and Shift Indicator Light (SIL) – it’s now time to get the marketing underway. Despite feeling that Honda are barking up the wrong tree by trying to make an underpowered hybrid powertrain seem an appealingly sporty prospect, we have to admire their wish to do so.
Nissan are teasing the Resonance Concept ahead of a debut at the Detroit Auto Show, which could be the next Murano SUV. The 2013 Detroit Auto show is looming, and the teases are starting to gather momentum as car makers seek to pique interest in their new and future models. This afternoon it’s the turn of Nissan to tease a new concept for Detroit – the Nissan Resonance Concept – although beyond the usual teaser image (above) there’s little to go on.
